Put in Bay Police Academy Requirements
The Put in Bay Police Department is exploring
the possibility of conducting a winter time accelerated Police Academy on
Put in Bay. If interested, please examine the information below.
Eligibility requirements on admission:

Must not be convicted of a felony, this includes conviction
that have been sealed or expunged.
·
Pass an extensive background check.
·
Posses a valid drivers license.
·
Must be a U.S. citizen.
·
Must be in good physical shape, (must pass an entrance and
exit physical fitness test, which includes sit-ups, push ups, and a mile and
half (1.5) timed run) [Click

Must pass a complete physical by a medical doctor.
·
Must be 21 years of age at time of appointment.
Unique Academy Highlights:
·
The
duration of the academy will be approximately two and one half months.
·
Each days instruction will be approximately ten hours in length and extend
six days each week.
·
In
residence required (you will be required to stay on the island during the
academy).
·
Upon successful completion of the police academy, your commission will be
held with the Put in Bay Police Department.
Costs
·
Approximate academy costs will be in the $4000.00 range.
